With more and more people needing to work remotely and/or work from home, the internet has become the new marketplace for the trade of digital services, with many clients exploring the international talent pool out there on the web.
The nature of design in the modern world means that the designers of today have a plethora of options at their fingertips when it comes to seeking out work. A computer, design software, the internet and a creative brain are the fundamental requirements to produce designs fit for digital exhibition.
As a designer, there’s no need to be chained to a desk in the same old office in the same old city, because whether it be from the comfort of your own home, or from a hammock on a beach in Bali, you’ve got all you need to start earning your living through design.
As the designer has been set free into the world of remote work, LottieFiles wanted to offer a haven of opportunity for those in Lottie animation and motion design; an oasis if you like, where clients wanting animations can browse to find the designer they didn’t know they needed for custom and personalized creations.
Like LinkedIn, Dribbble, and Behance, we wanted to give the reins over to the designer to empower them to be in charge of their own careers, which is why we created the LottieFiles ‘Hire Me’ feature to allow for designers showcase their creations and let potential clients reach out to them with work. As the demand for animations in social content, as well as in web and mobile based applications is increasing, so is demand for the freelance animator.
The ‘Hire Me’ feature on LottieFiles allows animators from all backgrounds to get jobs from clients who find them through the LottieFiles platform. A client can have a look at an animator’s portfolio of work and reach out to them with projects via email. How much you charge and the jobs you choose to do are completely at your discretion as we believe no one should dictate the path of your career but you.
You’ll need at least 5 public animations on your profile before you can turn on the ‘Hire Me’ feature (but we recommend more so that clients can get a better idea of your creative breadth and capabilities). Once that’s done, just go to your account settings and turn it on so that clients can see you’re available for hire.
