Tazapay leads the cross-border payment industry with a secure platform that enables global businesses to collect, hold, and pay internationally. We offer local payment options and card services with top authorization rates, empowering expansion in emerging markets. Integrating Lottie animations to our projects has impacted many aspects in creating better experiences for our customers and increasing efficiency in our workflow.
First, we used Adobe After Effects to create animations, then exported the animations as video files or sequences of images to make GIFs using Adobe Photoshop. This process was time-consuming and hard to design for responsive devices as the animations did not scale well across different screen sizes. Making changes or updates to the animations remained a challenge. In addition, the large file sizes of these animations led to slower loading of our web pages. We then removed all animations from the website for quite a long time to reduce the impact on the web page’s performance. While looking for solutions to this issue, we learned about LottieFiles from online forums and gave it a try. With Lottie, we could create super lightweight and vector-based animation that scales seamlessly with faster loading time!
The adoption process for LottieFiles was smooth for us. We transitioned easily, familiarizing ourselves with the platform's features and integrating it into our workflow. Integrating LottieFiles into our existing design tools required adjustments but with the help of LottieFiles for After Effects plugin and JavaScript integration dotlottie-player, we overcame compatibility issues. We focused on Involving developers early in the process to ensure that animations are implemented correctly and efficiently. Close collaboration can help address any technical challenges and ensure smooth integration.
How has your design process improved with implementation of LottieFiles?
Since integrating LottieFiles into our workflow, our design process has become more dynamic and efficient. We now create engaging animations that elevate our designs. LottieFiles has enabled us to iterate quickly, preview animations in real time, and seamlessly integrate them into our website. Our creative process starts with brainstorming and conceptualizing ideas, followed by creating animations with tools like Adobe After Effects. After exporting the animations to Lottie, we can embed the optimized animations for smooth rendering on different devices.
What impact did adding Lottie animations or using LottieFiles have?
Integrating Lottie animations through LottieFiles has greatly enhanced our projects. It’s challenging to precisely quantify the direct impact on user engagement, conversion rates, and revenue growth from this integration alone as the shift to Lottie was part of a massive overhaul of our existing pages. However, using LottieFiles has undoubtedly streamlined our animation workflow processes. The traditional animation workflow used to take us weeks with additional time needed for revisions. After including LottieFiles in our workflow, the time spent on animating and testing has been reduced between 3 to 4 days. This has influenced our team's approach to presenting complex flows and interactions more succinctly, with a greater emphasis on animations in future projects.
