Polarisation – vibrating in one plane only - Question

Polarisation – vibrating in one plane only - Question When light is emitted from an incandescent light source it will be vibrating in many different directions. However, if the light passes through a sheet of Polaroid material only light that is vibrating in a particular plane will pass through, while the rest is absorbed. The light will now therefore only be vibrating in one plane.
