Tell us a little bit about yourself
I'm a motion designer and 2D animator who loves creating stylish, impactful animations. I'm passionate about using movement to tell stories and bring ideas to life. In my free time, I experiment with different techniques and styles, always looking for fresh ways to make visuals speak.
Tell us about your journey to becoming a visual storyteller
My journey began in school, editing family videos and creating projects for scholar competitions. Animation fascinated me because it allowed me to go beyond reality, like cartoons I loved growing up. While studying web journalism, I dove into After Effects and began making animated infographics, realizing I wanted to dedicate myself to this craft. Animation’s ability to tell powerful, unique stories kept pulling me in, and eventually, I decided to make it my career.
Why is creating your own animation so mind-blowing?
Creating my own animations lets me take any idea and turn it into a vivid, visual experience. Animation allows for freedom — anything is possible, from subtle emotions to larger-than-life concepts. It’s storytelling without limits, where I get to use design, rhythm, and art to make a strong statement that resonates.
How has the LottieFiles platform helped for your own portfolio development?
I’m using Lottie as a plugin for After Effects. My knowledge of creating animations specifically for Lottie, understanding its export constraints, and my overall experience with it have enabled me to contribute to some exciting projects like animations for a website of Lemon studio.
What is your primary source of inspiration, and what is your creative process in creating these awesome, fun designs? How would you describe your style?
I find a lot of inspiration in music and nature. Music gives me a sense of rhythm and spacing, critical for timing in animation, while nature teaches me how objects move and interact, making my animations feel more real and lively. My style is influenced by the bold, expressive cartoons from the ’90s and early 2000s on channels like Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon. I aim to blend these influences with a fresh, modern twist in my work.
How is using Lottie beneficial to your daily work?
Using Lottie allows me to integrate animations seamlessly on the web, keeping them lightweight and interactive without losing quality. This compatibility between design and web opens up exciting creative options and makes my work more accessible across platforms.
Tell us one thing you wished you knew before embarking into the world of motion.
It’s easy to dive into software and tutorials, but I wish I’d spent more time on animation fundamentals first—things like composition, shape language, and principles of movement. Those fundamentals make all the difference in producing polished, compelling animations.
Do you have any advice for the motion community?
Don’t hesitate to experiment and push your boundaries. Focus on storytelling and principles over flashy effects, and remember that the best animations come from genuine passion and curiosity.
