Tell us a little bit about yourself.

Hi there! I'm Vyankatesh Lutukurthi, a self-taught motion designer specializing in bringing screens to life. As a part of the digital design team at Bombay Design Centre, I craft online animations and motion graphics for a diverse range of clients. My secret sauce? Lottie files! Their seamless ability to convert After Effects animations into a perfect solution for web and mobile apps feels like design heaven.

The real magic, however, happens through collaboration. While developers work their coding magic, I navigate the creative ship, crafting eye-catching animations. Why is creating your own animation so mind-blowing?

Creating your own animation is absolutely mind-blowing because it brings a static image to life. It's like performing magic, turning a moment frozen in time into a dynamic, living experience. The process of crafting movement adds depth, emotion, and a captivating dimension to what was once just a still frame.

What is your primary source of inspiration, and what is your creative process in creating these awesome, fun designs? How would you describe your style?

Working with new clients is my primary source of inspiration. Facing different challenges and discovering solutions, then adapting them to the animation process, keeps me motivated. The ever-changing nature of each project, along with the problem-solving needed, serve as continual sources of creative inspiration. I collaborate closely with UI designers, delving into the purpose behind each design. Utilizing tools such as Figma and AEUX, I seamlessly transform UI designs into animations within After Effects. Following this, I collaborate with developers to address any issues and ensure the animations function seamlessly. My artistic style draws influence from anime, where I've observed the significant impact of small, simple animations – such as a stroke line animation representing water flow.
