Voltage drop across each resistor when the circuit contains two resistors The circuit diagram below show two resistors in series connected to a is a 48 V source ( \(\Delta V_{tot}\) ). The resistor values are \(R_1\) = 6.4 Ω and \(R_2\) = 3.9 Ω.

There are voltmeters to measure the voltage drop across both resistors, and the second one tells you that the voltage drop across \(R_2\) is 18 V.
